Hello Astera Product Customers,
We've been getting a lot of inquiries lately about recent news involving a very serious exploit discovered in a widespread software logging component called Log4J, specifically if Astera products are vulnerable. Neither Centerprise, ReportMiner, EDIConnect, nor Data Warehouse Builder use this component and are therefore not vulnerable to this particular exploit.
Our products do use third party libraries that do use a .NET port of this library called Log4NET, but it does not rely on the Java component that is being targeted. Log4NET is not affected by this exploit.
