Hi,
I wanted to connect to MySQL on my local machine. With Centerprise Data Integrator v.5.1.242.1 I get the following error:
The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. To create the source, you need permission to read all event logs to make sure that the new source name is unique. Inaccessible logs:Security
I cannot find any specific help for this. I have verified that the security credientials I am using work for the MySQL installed on my localhost.

I was thinking this issue was specific to my local install. However, I am unable to connect to a remote MySQL that is accessible from other apps - such as Navicat. I do hope that this can get resolved soon.
Really frustrated now. I tried accessing MySQL via ODBC. The driver test ok. I can use the same ODBC connection from other applications. However, it fails in Centerprise - an error that it cannot connect to MySQL server on localhost.
Does Centerprise actually support MySQL?
Since there was no official response to this post I will provide the resolution.
Centerprise needed to be run as Administrator. That may have been fixed in more recent builds. Otherwise run Centerprise as Administrator to resolve the issue.
