Connecting to CRM 2011

Just when adding an SQL statement destination I am trying to interface to our CRM 2011 account, now I am one of the administrators however my username and password that I use for CRM online login comes up with authentication error. From experience do you know if in general access to CRM database is streight forward?

Try connecting via the "datasource browswer" (top menu ->view->datasource browswer). If you can connect there, you should be able to connect using a SQL statement destination no problem.
