Error (1920) Installing Centerprise

While installing Centerprise you receive the following error:"Error 1920.  Service Astera Integration Server 5 (Astera Integration Server 5) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

At this point, the installation cannot continue and you are forced to rollback installation.

To get around this, start the installation again and choose the "custom" option.  Keep clicking until you reach the final screen of the installer and then uncheck the "start Centerprise service" checkbox.  This will prevent the service from running automatically and prevent the error listed above.  This will not correct the error, however.  It will just allow for the installation to proceed.

At this point, navigate to the Windows Server Control Monitor and click on the "Astera Integration Server 5" service.  It should be in a stopped state.  Click the "start" link.  It will try and start and fail.  Now, navigate to the Windows Event Viewer.  Look under the application log and you should see an error event from Centerprise.  If you see the following:

Service cannot be started. System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not
load file or assembly 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.5.1.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its
dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name:
'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.5.1.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91'

This means that SQL CE 3.5 has not been installed.  This is a prerequisite to installing Centerprise.  You must download and install this installation package.

Once you do, navigate back to the Windows Serice Control Monitor and click the "Astera Integration Server" service and click the start link.  The service should start and at this point the server should be functional.
